The first round featured a record five UGA defenders, including edge rusher Travon Walker No. 1 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The first round started April 28. Rounds two and three were April 29. Rounds four through seven were on April 30.

Despite the mock draft buzz suggesting that quarterbacks could fly off the boards within the first 10 picks, the 2022 QB class failed to impress teams. Although the Steelers selected Kenny Pickett at No. 20 overall, preventing a total shutout at the position, the rest of the class did not crack the first round.

The first five picks went to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, New York Jets, and New York Giants.

According to FOX Sports NFL Draft analyst Rob Rang’s top 100 prospects, “Blue Chip” talent in the 2022 NFL Draft includes EDGE Aidan Hutchinson, OT Evan Neal, EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux, and OT Ikem Ekwonu.
