Notes: No surprises here, as McCaffrey will be the consensus No. 1 overall pick in drafts. Let’s just hope he can avoid the bad luck top picks have had (including CMC) in the last four years. The next five picks are all wide receivers, including Jefferson, who will no doubt go first in some drafts if the Vikings retain Kirk Cousins. Lamb and St. Brown have moved ahead of Chase, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. I have Hall and Robinson as the second and third best runners, with Etienne a close fourth. I expect Robinson to be better as an NFL sophomore with Arthur Smith no longer calling the offensive shots. The round finishes with three backs, including Etienne, Gibbs and Taylor. In all, I have six backs and six wideouts in the round.

Notes: Williams, who some would argue belongs in the first round, gets the top spot in Round 2. He’s followed by three receivers, including the top fantasy rookie from a season ago, Nacua. Of course, Pittman Jr. and Allen could be on the move so stay tuned. Barkley, who finished ninth among backs in points per game average, is the second runner taken in the round. White had a breakout 2023 and has pushed into Round 2. Collins, who also put up a career year, is also a top-20 overall pick and is ahead of fantasy stars like Diggs, Adams and Evans. As for Diggs, I wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up on a different team next season. Time will tell. His teammate, Josh Allen, is the first quarterback off the board and the only one in the top 24.

Notes: This round leads with Achane, who averaged the fifth-most points for backs who played in at least 11 games. He will likely continue to share the workload with Raheem Mostert, which hurts his upside. Hurts, who rushed for 15 touchdowns, is the second quarterback off the board. Pacheco moved way up compared to his ADP from last season, as does his teammate, Rice (unless the Chiefs add a big-name wide receiver in the offseason). LaPorta is my top-ranked tight end and goes one spot ahead of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend. Dell, who averaged 16.5 points per game as a rookie, has major upside and is ranked higher than some big names in Round 4.

Notes: How the mighty have fallen! Kupp, long a first-round pick, falls all the way down to Round 4 due to age, injuries and the emergence of Nacua. Mahomes is my third-ranked quarterback after a disappointing 2023 fantasy season. Several star runners from past seasons, Kamara, Mixon, Jacobs and Chubb, are also part of the round. Chubb, coming off a serious knee injury, will come with obvious risk. Higgins, coming off a terrible season in the stat sheets, should rebound next season whether he remains with the Bengals or signs with a new team in the offseason.

Notes: The round begins with Andrews, who is my third-ranked tight end behind LaPorta and Kelce. With T.J. Hockenson’s status for the start of next season in question, Andrews will go ahead of him in most drafts. We also see a number of backs who failed to meet expectations last season, including Ekeler, Pollard and Stevenson. Mostert, who scored 21 touchdowns and finished fourth among backs on a points-per-game basis, is the last pick of the round. Going into his age-32 season, he'll likely be the most popular regression candidate at the position for 2024.
