Edwin Diaz’s Trumpet-Blaring Entrance Song is Back, and It’s Better Than Ever
This was so good.
New York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Díaz brought back his iconic entrance to the mound on Monday night at Citi Field against the Detroit Tigers.
The famous trumpet tune titled "Narco" by Timmy Trumpet and the Dutch DJ duo Blasterjaxx erupted in the stadium as Díaz made the walk from the bullpen to the mound in the top of the ninth inning. The team's mascot, Mr. Met, could be seen mimicking the trumpet playing.
All while this was happening, Citi Field's lights were flashing bright and wild for fans to feel hyped up about their relief pitcher. It definitely worked as Mets fans could be seen standing up and cheering. This was quite the entrance, check it out below.
Díaz began using this song as his walk-up song back in 2018, but he only recently in the past couple years went viral for how extravagant the Mets make his entrance.
