NFC Wild-Card Round Player Props: Eagles vs. Buccaneers

While Philadelphia struggles with injuries, we’ve got three Bucs worth targeting in this Monday night playoff game.

The first round of the 2023 NFL postseason concludes Monday night with one of the most interesting matchups of the (super) wild-card round. The NFC South champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers play host to the fast-falling Philadelphia Eagles, who had the best record in the NFL after Week 12 but ended up as the No. 5 seed.

The game, which is scheduled for Monday at 8 p.m. ET, sees the Eagles as a 3-point favorite with an over/under of 44. Philadelphia comes into the game stumbling, losers of five of their last six games after starting the season 10-1. Their offense is also dealing with a multitude of players who are dealing with injuries. As a result, there are limited props for Philadelphia heading into the weekend (this is a Monday game, remember), so I’ve turned my attention to the Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White

Rachaad White has quietly been one of the most productive running backs in the NFL this season.

Rachaad White over 15.5 rushing attempts (-114)

White emerged into a fantasy star this season, ranking in the top eight in terms of points among runners. That coincided with an increase in carries, and that’s been evident lately. Over his last six games of the regular season, White saw 19 or more carries five times. The Eagles have also had at least one running back carry the football 16 or more times against them in eight straight games, so this looks like a nice play.

Mike Evans over 66.5 receiving yards (-125)

Evans should post a huge stat line against the Eagles, who have been bad against wide receivers this season. In fact, their defense has allowed at least one wideout to post at least 72 yards in each of their last seven games. Some of these players aren’t household names, either, as the likes of Wan’Dale Robinson, Greg Dortch and Darius Slayton have hit the mark. What’s more, Evans has put up 70 or more receiving yards in all but two of his eight home games this season.

Chris Godwin over 55.5 receiving yards (-110)

Godwin has caught fire in recent weeks, catching at least six passes in three of his last four games. During that time, he’s hit 81 or more yards three times and has had no fewer than 51 yards. That’s great news for wagerers, as is a plus matchup against the Eagles. Their defense has allowed the second-most receiving yards (183.8 YPG) to opposing wideouts this season, so Godwin is in a good position.
