A big update has surfaced on WWE working with a new promotion.

WWE FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN PREVIEW: CHALLENGER FOR CODY RHODES AT WWE BACKLASH 2024
Former Stardom promoter Rossy Ogawa has launced the new Dream Star Fighting Marigold promotion. The company's first show will take place on May 20th inside Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there is a working agreement between WWE and Marigold.
The report notes that Marigold's top star Giulia and Rossy were sent to Philadelphia for WrestleMania 40 weekend on WWE's behalf to get a deal done. Giulia, who appeared in the crowd during NXT Stand and Deliver, is expected to eventually move to the United States to be a full-time member of the WWE roster. The report notes that through the agreement, Marigold is expecting Giulia to be able to work a few big shows in Japan per year.
It was also said in the report that Giulia is expected to split time with NXT and Marigold before she gains full-time status with WWE.
Additionally, Meltzer claims that Rossy is hoping to get former WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY and one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Kairi Sane to perform under the Marigold banner for a major summer show. Whether or not that will come to fruition remains to be seen.
