Xavier Worthy Had Perfect Reaction to Record-Breaking 40-Yard Dash at NFL Combine

Xavier Worthy is fast. There’s no doubt about that.

But the Texas wide receiver, who on Saturday broke the NFL scouting combine’s 40-yard dash record with a time of 4.21 seconds, wants people to know that there’s more to his game than just speed.

Worthy took to X, formerly Twitter, with a perfect reaction to his historic performance at the scouting combine.

“Turn on the film the routes there don’t let that lil 40 mess your head up,” Worthy wrote, after posting another message that simply read, “Bidness handled.”

Mar 2, 2024; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy (WO40) ran an official time of 4.21 seconds to set a combine record during the 2024 NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Texas alum Xavier Worthy is the talk of the NFL scouting combine after recording a 4.21-second 40-yard dash Saturday in Indianapolis.

Worthy caught 75 passes for 1,014 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games for the Longhorns in 2023. He certainly fits the bill as a deep threat, having burned defenses downfield multiple times during this past season, but he also proved to be effective in picking up yards after the catch as well.

Either way, Worthy’s record-breaking time is likely to do wonders for his stock in April’s NFL draft.
