All Bets Are On: SugarHouse Launches Mobile Sports Book

SugarHouse Casino is leading the pack in Pennsylvania as it launches the state’s first mobile sportsbook. The site went live for testing on May 31 and is now open for business 24/7.

SugarHouse CasinoPennsylvania sports fans may have wondered if mobile sports betting would ever come to the Keystone State. A year after online gaming was legalized, the waiting is over, the gates are open, and the games have begun.

Philadelphia’s SugarHouse Casino is first at bat with the sports book at PlaySugarHouse.com.

One wrinkle is still being ironed out: the app is available for download on desktop and Android but has not yet been OK’d for Apple. That glitch should be resolved shortly, because iOS users don’t want to stand in line.

Rush Street Interactive runs the books in both New Jersey and in PA. In a news release, Rush Street President Richard Schwartz hailed the expansion, saying the company will“make history in bringing the first online sportsbook to sports fans in the state of Pennsylvania.”

The Big Kick-Off

To celebrate the launch, PlaySugarHouse.com is offering no-vig bets on NBA Finals games. For the entire seriesfrom 10 a.m. ET until tipoff, the main line spread will be priced at +100 on each side.

Get started at PlaySugarHouse.com. When you create an account, you’ll be eligible for a match bonus up to $250 on your first deposit.

The full slate of sports on offer and SugarHouse’s retail sportsbook are also available online and on mobile, including:

  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Baseball
  • Hockey
  • Tennis

In-game bets and prop bets are also available—as are wagers on collegiate sports, including in-state teams, a practice banned in nearby Jersey.

PlaySugarHouse.com has ranked among the leading mobile sports books in New Jersey since the market opened in June 2018. Rush Street Interactive was recently named Mobile Operator of the Year in North America at the EGR North America Awards. And it’s powered by Kambi, which was recognized as Sportsbook Platform Provider of the year.

Schwartz attributed the Jersey site’s success to “the quality of the PlaySugarHouse.com user experience and a laser focus on delivering what our players want: a massive range of sports betting options, responsive customer service and fast payouts.” He promised that the platform will replicate that track record on its home turf.
