Giants, Cowboys, Chiefs Top 311 Choices

The 311 is bullish on the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, and Kansas City Chiefs this week.

The 311 consists of three NFL games selected using the spread or money line, one game that’s selected based on the total number of points for both teams going over or under and one player projected production for the game and if he exceeds or falls short of that number. This will give you action every week that is based on trends and matchups.

This is Week 10 of the NFL 2022-2023 season. The ninth week of action had the favorites covering six times and the dogs seven. The totals went nine under and four over.

The teams with the best record against the spread are the Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans and New York Giants at 6-2. The team with the best record with the total going over is the Cleveland Browns at 5-2-1. The teams with the best record with the total going under is the Indianapolis Colts at 8-1. My record in last week’s 311 was 3-2 and for the year is 23-21-1.

Cowboys Rested, Ready for Packers

The Dallas Cowboys are on the road against the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys are five-point favorites. The Cowboys are coming off a bye week after destroying the Chicago Bears 49-29.

The Packers have lost five games in a row and are in danger of not making the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Head Coach Matt LaFleur and quarterback Aaron Rodgers are not coordinated with play calling.

Packers running back Aaron Jones left last Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions with an ankle injury. The Cowboys want to remain within striking distance of the Philadelphia Eagles. Take the Cowboys minus the 5.

Prediction: Cowboys -5 over Packers (-110 at Unibet)

Chiefs Big Favorites Over Jaguars

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Jacksonville Jaguars and are favored by 9.5 points. The Chiefs are in first place in the AFC West at 6-2. They’ve won their last two games.

The Jaguars are coming in off a win against the Las Vegas Raiders 27-20. But the Jags have lost three of their last four games. Jacksonville is third in the AFC South with a record of 3-6. They have scored an average of 22 ppg.

In three games this season, the Chiefs scored 20 points or less. But they’ve scored an average of 30 points per game.

Even though the Chiefs only scored 20 points against the Tennessee Titans in their last game, the Jags won’t be able to match their typical production. Take the Chiefs minus the 9.5.

Prediction: Chiefs -9.5 over Jaguars (-110 at Caesars)

Watch: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS, FuboTV

Rested Giants Will Handle Texans

The New York Giants are hosting the Houston Texans. The Giants are favored by 6.5. The Giants are coming in off a bye week. The Texans have lost three games in a row.

Giants running back Saquon Barkley is ranked fifth in the NFL in rushing average at 79.5 yards per game. Barkley will challenge the Texans defense. Houston gave up 93 yards to Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders last week.

The Texans have averaged 15 points in their last four games. The Giants are averaging just under 22 points for that same span. Take the Giants -6.5 over the Texans.

Prediction: Giants -6.5 over Texans (-110 at Golden Nugget)

Watch: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS, FuboTV

Raiders, Colts Offensively Challenged

The Indianapolis Colts are in Sin City to take on the Las Vegas Raiders. The total for this game is 42.5 points. The Colts fired Head Coach Frank Reich after starting the season with a disappointing 3-5-1 record. They are still in second place in the AFC South and are 5-2 with games going under.

The Raiders have scored 20 points in each of their last two games. The Colts are ranked 22nd against the run in the NFL. The key to stopping the Raiders is limiting Josh Jacobs. In the Raiders last two game, Jacobs has averaged 4.1 yards per carry and gained an average of 55 yards. Expect a conservative offensive game plan from the Colts new Head Coach Jeff Saturday. Take the under.

Prediction: Raiders-Colts Under 42.5 points (-110 at BetMGM)

Watch: Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET, CBS, FuboTV

Mariota Goes Pass Happy

The total for passing yards for Atlanta Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota is 163.5. The price for the over is set at -110 at Bet365. He is facing the Carolina Panthers on Sunday for the second time this season

Mariota has only exceeded his projected number once in his last six games, and that was when he passed for 253 yards against the Panthers two weeks ago. He also threw three touchdowns in that game.

Expect a repeat performance in passing yards on a short work week. Take Mariota over.

Prediction: Mariota Over 163.5 passing yards (-110 at Bet365)

Watch: Thursday, 8:15 p.m. ET, Amazon Prime
