It enjoys the No. 47 spot on the sports chart, which is the highest of any mobile sportsbook. This is no fluke, as FanDuel also caters nicely to the user with its clean in-app look and many other user-friendly features.

While FanDuel also offers a first-time $500 match bet, it serves up daily promo deals so users can get as much value as possible on each bet. The No. 2 book has updated its app essentially once a month this year, again doing its best to cater to the user.

 

BetStars

BetStars checks in at our No. 3 spot with a 3.8 star average rating on close to 250 overall reviews. Although it lacks the sexy stats in that regard, this sportsbook makes up for it with a cornucopia of features and arguably the most value-per-bet of any app on this list.

BetStars offers a risk-free $500 starting bet, just like the first two apps on our list, and far more promotions. It features a weekly deal of a free $5 wager when you bet at least $25, new promotions every day, and a Tuesday Happy Hour that provides more deals on free bets. It also offers bonus money on parlays and a policy to refund MLB bets that lose in extra innings.

This app is only available in New Jersey for now, but it’s a contender for other states as they introduce legal sports betting.

Our No. 4 spot belongs to PointsBet, partly due to its 4.5 star average rating in the App Store (on 150 ratings), which is good for second overall among all mobile sportsbooks. PointsBet offers two risk-free starting bets up to a combined $1,000. The unique feature of the app is the PointsBet Debit Card, which allows for instant access to your winnings.

This is a rather straightforward app offering live bets, parlays, moneylines, spreads, prop bets and more. William Hill will match your first $50 in bets.

The app isn’t going to offer crazy promos and value bets like some others on this list, but users experience minimal problems with the features that are available, one reason it’s been so successful in the App Store.
