NFL 311 Favors Lions, Chiefs, Vikings
The 311 this week is taking the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, and the Over in the Chicago Bears-Philadelphia Eagles game.
The 311 consists of three NFL games that I will select using the spread or money line, one game that is selected based on the total number of points for both teams going Over or Under and one player projected production for the game and if he exceeds or falls short of that number. This will give you action every week that is based on trends and matchups.
This is Week 15 of the NFL 2022-2023 season. The 14th week of action had the favorites covering six times and the dogs eight. The totals were split at seven Over and seven Under.
The team with the best record against the spread is the Cincinnati Bengals at 10-3. The teams with the best record with the total going Over are the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, and Detroit Lions at 9-4. The team with the best record with the total going Under is the Denver Broncos at 11-2.
My record in last week’s 311 was 3-2. And my record for the year is 35-33-2.
Lions Jet Past New York
The Detroit Lions are at the Meadowlands to play the New York Jets. The Jets are favored by one. The money line is -110 for both teams.
The Lions have won five of their last six games while the Jets have lost two straight. The Jets expect quarterback Mike White to play after being evaluated for internal injuries after the loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Lions have put themselves in position for a playoff berth.
Detroit has covered the spread in their last six straight games. The Jets have alternated against the spread over the last six weeks. They have not had two consecutive covers over that span. The Jets covered last week against the Bills. Take the Lions money line as Detroit wins outright.

Chiefs Big Favorites Over Texans
Houston has lost eight games in a row. The Chiefs have scored at least 24 points in each of their last three games. The Texans have allowed an average of 26 points over their last six games.
Kansas City is looking to stay even with the Bills for the best record in the AFC. The Chiefs have not covered in their last two games against the spread. While the Texans played well in a last-second 27-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, they will not be able to match the potent offense of the Chiefs. Take the Chiefs minus the points.
Prediction: Chiefs over Texans (-110 at Unibet)

Vikings Roll on Defenseless Colts
The Colts have lost three games in a row. Indy is one of the worst teams in the NFL with turnover ratio. The Vikings are not a very good defensive team.
The Colts are limited in offensive production and only have running back Jonathan Taylor as a viable threat. The Vikings have a 6-1 home record. The Colts are coming in off a bye week. Indy has lost all of their non-conference games. Take the Vikings minus the points.
Prediction: Vikings -4 over Colts (-110 at Tipico)

Philly, Chicago Go Over
The Philadelphia Eagles travel to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bears. The Eagles and Bears have a projected total of 48.5 points. The Bears have a record of 3-10. The Eagles are 12-1 and have a two-game lead in the NFC race for a bye in the playoffs.
The Eagles have covered their last three games against teams with strong running games. Quarterback Justin Fields will create problems with his running ability. Fields has rushed for more than 70 yards in each of his last five games. The Eagle’s games have gone over the projected total in each of the last three games. Take this game Over.
Prediction: Eagles-Bears Over 48.5 points (-110 at BetMGM)
Watch: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX, FuboTV
McCaffrey Runs Out of Gas
The total rushing yards for San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey is 75.5 yards against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday.
McCaffrey has gone under the projected total four of his last five games. The price is set at -110 on Bet365.
Seattle’s defense allows an average of 160 yards per game rushing. Seahawks allow more than 218 yards via the pass. McCaffrey will be more effective in the passing phase. Wide receiver Deebo Samuels is out for this game. On a short work week, take McCaffrey to go under.
Prediction: McCaffrey Under 75.5 rushing yards (-110 at Bet365)
